How to clean few tablespoons of motor oil out of passenger seat in my car?

I just bought motor oil, and the cap of one bottle was not closed tightly. A few tablespoons of oil leaked slowly onto my passenger seat before I noticed.

Please suggest how I can best clean this. I'm afraid of either having oil or soap in the seat for the rest of my life.

Thanks for your advice.How to clean few tablespoons of motor oil out of passenger seat in my car?
Soap %26amp; warm water and a wet vac. You can't use 'JUST ANY VACUUM CLEANER'; on wet things. You also need a ton of paper towels. First try to soak up as much of the oil as you can using paper towels. Then when the puddles are gone, use Dawn detergent and warm water. Dawn will help to soak up the oil that's left. Then use the wet vac and if the seats are still damp, a bath towel you no longer want to keep would be good to spread in the seat. Don't forget that liquids run down the back of the seat and into the floor behind the passenger seat. It will be oily also.How to clean few tablespoons of motor oil out of passenger seat in my car?
Oops.

If it sank into the foam under the fabric, it's going to be very difficult to extract ALL of it.

Use a whole bunch of paper towels two at a time folded four ways.

Push down onto the oil spot over, and over changing towels when they get oil on them.

Keep doing this until they come back clean.

Expect this to take half an hour of pressing the oil out onto the towels.

Then, place an old (disposable)cloth towel on the seat for a few days.

Try not to use soap and water just yet, as that will just cause it to migrate. ';get bigger';

After a day or two, try some upholstery cleaner and a strong vacuum cleaner.
first water and oil don't mix so water will not clean it

they sell a fabric cleaner specially for this as us mechanics sometimes aren't so clean if you cant find it at an auto parts stores get electric motor cleaner it is very similar spray the seat with just a little use an old Towel a cloth one and pat it dry keep doing it until its gone you will never really get it all out of the seat but it wont hurt anything you just need the surface clean good luck
i,ll tell you what i use and it,s good stuff for seats and carpets. go to auto zone and get some ( tuff stuff). it comes in a spray can.
spray it with wd40 and try to work it out with paper towels, than use a mild soap cleaner, be patient keep trying it should come out.
soap and water and a vaccum cleaner just about any cleaner and a vaccum should do
