Number 2 answerer got that backwards.... 5w-30 in the winter, 10w-30 in the summer...... 5w-30 flows quicker in the cold.
Use a good synthetic 5w-30 or conventional 5w-30 all year round.... as long as its name brand (mobil, pennzoil, castrol, etc) its good....

Mobil 1 synthetic. 10w30 for winter 5w30 for summer. Syntheic is the best oil you can put in a car. Not only that you can go 6 to 8 thousand miles before changing the oil again.
5w30 year round brand not important as long as it meets the API GF-4 specs.
get a different car.. that will help
