What do you do with motor oil you need to get rid of from changing your own oil?

Is there some kind of depo station or oil change places, do they take it?What do you do with motor oil you need to get rid of from changing your own oil?
You can drop it off at any place that changes oil. they have an oil recycle bin. Some places charge you to dump it, some dont.

you can always just leave it up there after hours, then they have to take it. :-)What do you do with motor oil you need to get rid of from changing your own oil?
your supposed to take it to a certified epa oil collector, but no one does that!!!
auto zone stores take used oil, also check to see if any area garages take it, many have heating furnaces that burn used oil since they get so much of it doing oil changes.. ahhh disregard that part if you live in cali or florida perhaps..
recycle it some chain stores offer this service for free .also remember it is a federal violation to dump used motor oil .19.99 and no worries and it is guaranteed have it changed a a express lube place Bonus they do other routine checks .
Depending on where you live some landfills or dumps have a recycling center you can dump your oil at. Most auto parts stores have an oil tank you can dump into. Look in the phone book for a recycling center if the first two aren't helpful.
i was a member of the AA and and had to have oil drained from my car and what that twat did was tipped it on a bush on the side road. But your local tip should have an area to take waste oil. hope that helped :-)
