Old car once leaked black motor oil onto my new drive, now the cars gone and the unsightly patch is still there! Any tips will be welcome! How do I get rid of old motor oil soaked into a bricked driveway?
A pressure washer will get anything off your driveHow do I get rid of old motor oil soaked into a bricked driveway?
If there is still oil soak it up with sawdust. Sawdust is fantastic for removing oil. What I did was to spray the effected area with a strong solution of ordinary liquid detergent (sugar soap is better) and then water blasted it. It came up superbly.
sprinkle with soap powder and then squirt on some washing up liquid have a bucket of very hot water ready dip sweeping brush into water and scrub try not to inhale the fumes as it make ammonia when mixed together it . will work as i did this myself rinse away with clean water
industrial strength washing up liquid will shift it ,you'd need lots ,never touch old oil , it can and will give you prostate cancer( or worse)
he's right with the sawdust too, i forgot about that
when i worked at a filling station we scrubed the service bay with powdered tide and kerosen it took all the old oil off of the floor
try using brick acid that will do it
Halfords sell stuff - don't know how effective it is though.
Petrol will clear it.
scrub it with swarfega
a degreeser and a high pressure washer and it will still be tough been there did that
