Can too much motor oil cause the car to be non runnable?

What is the damage of using too much motor oil and can it break down a car?Can too much motor oil cause the car to be non runnable?
Dodge Man is ABSOLUTELY correct! Can too much motor oil cause the car to be non runnable?
It generally won't hurt the engine if it is not overfilled by too much. If the oil level is high enough it can cause the crankshaft to whip the oil into a foam and cause poor lubrication inside the engine.
Yes
yes
check oil pump..
it would smoke real bad .to much transmission fluid would harm your car it will make the transmission slip or the motor want pull.
Too much oil causes the oil to reach the bottom of the crankshaft. This will 'whip' the oil similar to whipping an egg. The oil will foam, rise to the top of the engine and get into the rotating parts. Oil foam will not lubricate the way liquid oil does and the engine will lock up. Basically too much oil causes the same kind of harm as too little oil.
yes it can ,,among the damage it can do is ,,it will blow a lot of oil seal,s,,and you will have lot,s of leak,s,,also if it get,s high enough in the engine,,it can pump up more than it need,s and cause the plug,s to foul out,,also i have seen them blow oil out the dipstick tube,,and make a real mess,,seen one burn up over it,,so if you have over-filled it,,drain some back out,,it,s better to be a little low on oil,,than to have to much,,i do this for a living,,hope this help,s you.
Over filling can cause oil concumption. The best thing is to drain the oil and refill. If this just hapened you reuse the oiland change the oil filter. However, if the oil has been in for a while drain down to one quart below. Obtain a good five quarts of synthetic oil, one can of engine flush and an EA type oil filter.

Procedure: 1. add can of engine flush to old oil.

2. start engine run at high idle (1100 rpm) for ten minutes.

3. assemble new oil with filter prepare to drain old oil.

4. Shut engine off.

5. Drain oil and remove and replace filter.

6. with the drain plug removed pour 1/4 quart new oil. check if oil is clear. If so reinstal plug with 30lbs torque no more.

wipe dipstick and put in four quarts and check level.

7. if level is at the mark, start engine untill oil light goes out checking for leaks. If there are none the engine is okay, synthetic will find the blown seals caused by overfilling because it is highly penetrating.

8. shut engine off and wait fifteen minutes to recheck the level.

9. The best time to chec the oil is after the engine has been down for eight hours. Only add enough oil bring it to the mark.

AMSOIL has a product selection guide and oil capacity online. Yours might be 4.4 quarts.
