Just changed coolant, but accidently use the funnel for motor oil. Coolant still good for 5 years?

Drained and refilled Prestone 50/50 premixed coolant.

Now theres a thin thin layer of oil residue on the surface of the coolant when looked at through the radiator opening. Dont feel like draining and refilling. Coolant still good for 5 years?Just changed coolant, but accidently use the funnel for motor oil. Coolant still good for 5 years?
The oil will attack all of the natural rubber hoses that you have in the cooling system and cause them to swell. Each morning until the oil is gone, take some paper towels and with the radiator cap off absorb as much oil as you can. Keep topping off the cooling system and it will be forced into the over flow tank. Once the radiator is clear, remove the over flow tank and completely clean it. Now top off the system and be more careful next time. Your not the first to do this and for sure will not be the last. Natural rubber hoses hate oil big time!Just changed coolant, but accidently use the funnel for motor oil. Coolant still good for 5 years?
It's probably not going to hurt anything.

The oil might soften the rubber hoses, but I doubt such a small amount would cause any problems.

Maybe let it sit overnight and when the oil rises and collects at the top, gently dab it with a paper towel to remove the film.
i would drain and filter with a coffee filter or cheese cloth and flush it, but im peticular about my fluids, but i bet it wouldnt do anything terrible if it was just run off from a funnel, now a qt or 2 might be bad, but ive seen people drive with mud in there from a blown head gasket for 200k so its your call really
No problem however make sure that the oil is not getting into the cooling circuit through a gasket leak or cracked head. monitor the situation.
I don't believe that amount of oil will hurt a thing.
That's not going to hurt anything at all.
