In Ontario most of the year we use 10w-30 except winter...in winter we use 5w-30. I asuume there you use a straight weight oil? What is used most of the year and in winter what do you use. Question for LA , Sandiego areas.What grade motor oil do you use in California for your everyday cars.?
i live in sacramento and i go with a 10W-30. When i lived in ohio i switched between 5w-30 and 10w. You can use 5w if you want, it's better for cold start ups. It still works in the warm, but for warm conditions 10W is the way to go.What grade motor oil do you use in California for your everyday cars.?
10 - 40 Spring, Summer and fall. 10 - 30 in the winter ( if any).
Newer cars today use 5w-30 motor oil
