Will it hurt the engine if you switch from regular motor oil to synthetic oil?

I have 58,000 miles on my toyota tacoma will it hurt the motor if I switch to synthetic oil. Will it hurt the engine if you switch from regular motor oil to synthetic oil?
won't hurt it one bit, you can switch back and forth as many times as you like. Will it hurt the engine if you switch from regular motor oil to synthetic oil?
It could. It depends on the condition of your engine. Synthetic oil offer more lubricity and have has better cleaning agents to keep your engine clean. If you switch over to synthetic from conventional, any deposits of dirt in or sludge in your engine, the synthetic oil will begin to clean those away. This is where you can have a problem on an older engine. If you do have some deposits in your engine that happen to be around seals and are preventing leaks, then when the synthetic oil cleans those deposits out, there will be no more junk to block the leaks, and you engine will start leaking oil, requiring repair. Obviously I can't tell what kind of shape your engine is in, so it will be up to you. If you have performed regular oil changes and proper maintenance, you probably won't have a problem. But if you've been a little lax on vehicle maintenance and your engine may have had a chance to build up internal deposits, you may want to stick with conventional. I use synthetic in my truck, and I have since 10K miles, now I have 90K, and t doesn't leak a drop. I have a 20 year old Jeep with 156K, and it will stay on conventional forever. Evaluate what kind of shape your vehicle is in, and hopefully my explanation will help you make an informed decision. Hope this helps.
no. if it was a higher mileage engine it wouldn't really be worth it, but you'll be alright. also on a higher mileage engine the gaskets are more brittle and not as flexible and the synthetic oil would have a tendency to leak more. and it would leak more around the worn out valve guides on an older engine. so as long as your engine is in good shape, go for it.
Only if you've got an engine that's leaky, or just on the edge of leaking. It could make it worse in that regard. Oh, and there are some cars specifically designed to use natural oil (rotaries, AFAIK, subarus). Otherwise, it's fine.
No it will not hurt it.And It will not do anything for it either. It will take a bigger chunk out of your wallet. If you follow the maintenance schedule and change your oil when your supposed to there is no reason to pay the extra expense
If you don't have any oil leaks anywhere , synthetic is a better way to go. If you have oil leaks, fix them first then change over .
royal purple or ams oil are the best synthetics out in the market a bit more expensive but way worth it

on a newer tacoma and any car for that matter no matter the mileage
You would be doing your engine a huge favor by switching Mobil One.
no it won't. synthetic oil is better for your engine.
